Monday Magic August 31

by Neil Phillips on August 31, 2009

Direct Selling MagicMonday Magic is our effort to share some of the powerful insights found on the web with othger direct selling coaches.  Today’s version is a veritable potpourri of possibilities.

The Hard Questions.  As coaches, we don’t want to step on the dreams of our clients.  Have you ever wondered, however, if maybe you should be asking tougher questions sometimes?  Chris Brogan offers several great starter questions to Evaluate Your Business Idea.

This Week’s Idea.  The Sparkplugging blog, is one of those great places for us work-at-hjome people to visit once in a while.  Amongst the coupons, free offers, and coloring pages for your kids, you will find some great sparks.  I always check in with them on Thursdays so that I can catch the latest in their new tradition called Spark an idea Thursday.  Please check it out.  This last week’s topic was on being a lifetime learner.  Doesn’t that seem like a great idea for coaches?  What did you learn this week?

Tools of the Trade.  David Seah is a dedicated blogger.  I tend to flit through several ideas.  David’s blog always has a strong core centered on design.  I love his tools.  They are simple designs that put form and function together.  Most are downloadable forms.  Want a useful tool for tracking time use?  His simple spreadsheet does just that.  Take a look at his Plain Old Five Day Planner and tell me I’m wrong.

Your Personal Plan for Productivity.  In my own version of “Physician heal thyself,” I’ve locked on a blinding flash of the obvious that we need to spend more time coaching ourselves to our own greatness before we try to convince others that we are already there.  A good place for most people to start is on their work productivity.  Have you ever finished the day and wondered what you got done?  Ron Ashkenas offers Two Steps to Simplify Your Work Day
